On March 8, 2025, CLTA-SC organized an engaging cultural tour of Chinatown for over 30 teachers, starting at Union Station, where expert guides shared the historical significance of the area to the Chinese community in Los Angeles. The vibrant atmosphere of Chinatown captivated the group, showcasing stunning designs by a Chinese-American architect and iconic imagery of Bruce Lee. A delightful pet festival added a fun twist to the experience, while a delicious lunch and visits to local landmarks, including the famous Phoenix Bakery, created lasting memories. This event marked the beginning of a series of professional development initiatives for CLTA-SC members, empowering them to lead future student tours. Celebrating International Women’s Day, the tour highlighted the strength of community and the transformative power of education.
