June 22–July 6, 2025 – CLTA-SC Summer Teacher Workshop in Taitung Supports Professional Development and Cultural Exchange

Ninteen K-16 teachers from the U.S. joined an intensive PD + cultural immersion at National Taitung University. Huge thanks to Ying Petersen & Jessica Chen, TECO, and Prof. Zhaomin Shu for their meticulous preparation and on-site coordination—highlights include Ying’s condensed UCI “Chinese Presentation” session and Taichung University’s practical YouTube & Meipian teaching tips.

Thanks to careful planning and close collaboration, participants left with concrete classroom strategies, fresh assessment ideas, and deeper cultural insights gained from hands‑on activities and local excursions. This workshop model—blending U.S. expertise with Taiwanese hosts—paved the way for stronger future collaborations and richer professional development for teachers.
