July 17-22, 2026 – 2026 World Language Summer Seminar at UCSB

We are thrilled to celebrate our Vice President, Hsiao-Yun (Angela) Liao, and elite educator Ying Jin for leading a resounding success at the World Language Summer Seminar at UCSB from July 17-22, 2026, where they co-facilitated an inspiring Mandarin Strand on AI & Global Competence: Justice and Sustainability in Mandarin. Following a remarkably enriching week on campus filled with collaborative learning and deep exchange, the seminar received overwhelmingly positive feedback from all participants—including several dedicated CLTA-SC board and member teachers who joined. This achievement highlights the active commitment of CLTA-SC’s board and members toward continuous professional development, and we hope this uplifting milestone brings positive energy to our community and inspires everyone to get involved in our upcoming projects!
