October 10, 2026 - 2026 CLTA-SC Fall Conference Invitation for Chinese Language Educators

Dear Chinese Language Educators,

We are thrilled to announce that registration is officially open for the 2026 CLTA-SC Fall Conference, taking place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at USC!

This year’s conference brings together an exciting range of opportunities for learning, connection, and collaboration. The program will feature:

  • Dynamic professional development workshops
  • Cultural resource sharing and showcases
  • Student project presentations
  • Dedicated sessions and networking opportunities for student teachers

We are especially honored to welcome Dr. Krishauna Hines-Gaither, 2026 President of ACTFL, as our featured keynote speaker.

Her keynote, “I Am My Language: Roots, Rhythm and Resistance,” will invite us to reflect deeply on language, identity, and the future of language education. Following the keynote, we have reserved a dedicated discussion session where participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with Dr. Hines-Gaither, exchange ideas, and explore future directions in world language education.

Because this keynote speaks to educators across all languages, we warmly encourage you to invite your world language colleagues, including non-Chinese teachers, to join us. Non-Chinese world language teachers may register for the Keynote-Only Pass for just $20, which includes breakfast as well as the keynote and discussion session.

Full-day registration includes breakfast, lunch, and refreshments.

For your convenience, we have also attached two conference invitations: one designed for Chinese language educators and another specifically for colleagues teaching other world languages. Please feel free to share the second invitation with your world language colleagues and invite them to join us for the keynote and discussion session.

We can’t wait to see you at USC, reconnect with old friends and colleagues, welcome new members of our community, and continue shaping the future of language teaching together!

Warmly,
CLTA-SC Fall Conference Planning Committee
