March 8, 2026 – Call for Proposals for the 2026 Spring Innovative Pedagogy Conference

CHINESE LANGUAGE TEACHERS' ASSOCIATION OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA (CLTA-SC) 2026 SPRING INNOVATIVE PEDAGOGY CONFERENCE

CALL FOR PROPOSALS 

CLTA-SC is now accepting proposals for its 2026 Spring Pedagogy Conference, to be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at La Salle College Preparatory, California. The theme of this year's conference is Tradition Meets Innovation: The Future of Cultural Pedagogy (传统与创新的碰撞：文化教学法的未来).

This conference explores how we can breathe new life into language teaching by connecting time-honored traditions with creative, modern instructional strategies. We will highlight and ensure that cultural heritage remains at the heart of the classroom.

The Spring Pedagogy Conference Organizing Committee invites the submission of proposals for 45-minute individual presentations centered on the conference theme.

IMPORTANT DATES: 

1. Proposal for workshop sessions submission deadline: Sunday, March 8, 2026

2. Notification of proposal status: Sunday, March 15, 2026

PROPOSAL SUBMISSION:

1. Submit your conference proposal by the 3/8/2026 deadline 

• Submission link for a 45 minutes individual workshop presentation proposal  (or copy and paste the link: https://forms.gle/SoSkTJLzkjqKiAw16
• 2. The proposal can be written in either Chinese or English. It should be no more than 200  words in English or 300 characters in Chinese. 

3. Each proposal will be anonymously reviewed and evaluated on the basis of overall quality,  originality, and relevance to the field. 

4. Each person may submit only one abstract for consideration as a workshop presentation.

5. The workshop presenter’s conference registration fee will be waived.
